FAQs
WILL A HOST BE WITH US AT ALL TIMES? A host will be with you throughout your trip to make sure things run smoothly and be available for questions, concerns, and advice. However, you are not obligated to go with the host if you prefer to explore on your own. You may use the host as little or as much as you desire. IS THERE A DRESS CODE? During the day your dress will be casual. Good walking shoes are a MUST for all tours. For dinner it depends on the tour you choose. For our CASUAL BITE itinerary we suggest smart-casual wear, no jackets or ties required. For the BIG BITE, 3 of our dinners will be dressy with at least a jacket required, and the fourth dinner will be casual. For THE SILVER PLATTER, all dinners will be jacket-and-tie required and our Sunday brunch will be dressy casual. For more information, see our What to Bring page. DO YOU ACCOMMODATE DIETARY RESTRICTIONS? While we are happy to accommodate any dietary restrictions you may have, we ask that you seriously take this into consideration when booking your tour. Some restrictions are more easily accommodated, say, an allergy to shellfish or nuts, while others are more difficult. If you do have dietary restrictions and would still like to book a tour, please notify us and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. I AM PHYSICALLY-CHALLENGED, CAN I STILL GO? We are happy to accommodate you as much as we can, however, please take into consideration that many of our itineraries, especially in NYC, involve a great deal of walking. If you are physically-challenged and would still like to participate in one of our tours please notify us with your concerns and needs and we will do everything we can to accommodate you. CAN I STAY LONGER THAN THE LENGTH OF THE TOUR? Of course! You are more than welcome to extend your stay as long as you like. We will arrange your ride to the airport up to one week from the end of your tour, and we will do everything we can to arrange the extension of your hotel stay, if that is what you wish. However, we cannot always guarantee that this will be possible, so please let us know asap if you would like to stay longer so we can help you. AT THE RESTAURANTS, CAN I ORDER WHAT I WANT? That depends. Many of our restaurants will have a regular menu with a variety of items for you to choose from. Others, like our multi-course tasting menus, will be predetermined for us by the chef. On every itinerary we try to have a nice mix of both. In all cases, we will definitely be eating a large variety of food, so it's best to be adventurous, and hungry! CAN I BRING MY CHILDREN? Although we certainly don't want to discourage anyone from experiencing great food, we are sorry to say that children under the age of 12 are not allowed on our tours. If you would like to bring a child aged 12-17 please let us know in advance so that we may accommodate you. IS ALCOHOL INCLUDED? On all of our tours some type of alcohol is included in our dinners, though the amount and type may vary. For example, on our SILVER PLATTER itinerary, all of our dinners include specialty wine pairings. For our BIG BITE, all dinners will include at least one glass of wine, beer, or cocktail. For our CASUAL BITE, 2 of our dinners will include a glass of wine or a beer. We will also provide alcohol at our welcome reception and usually our limos will include a fully-stocked bar! If you require additional alcohol, you may purchase it at your own expense. WHAT IF I DON'T DRINK? I f you don't drink, please let us know, and we will adjust your tour price accordingly. WHY DON'T YOUR TOURS INCLUDE FLIGHTS? Because we are not actually a travel agency, we are not privy to group airline discounts. Therefore, you have the same opportunity to get a good flight as we do. Plus, this way, you get to fly when and to which airport you choose, and even use your frequent flier miles. WHAT IS YOUR CANCELATION POLICY? For information on our cancelation policy, and any other of our Terms and Conditions, please see The Rules.
