FAQs
HOW DO YOU CHOOSE YOR RESTAURANTS AND HOTELS? Restaurants and hotels are chosen based on several criteria corresponding to your specific tour. In all categories we look for exceptional ratings, interesting and creative menus, convenient and varied locations, and exciting an innovative interiors. We spend countless hours researching our locations so you can have the best dining and hotel experiences possible. WHAT ARE THE HOTELS LIKE? We believe that the hotel sets the stage for your overall experience so choose the best hotels available. All hotels are either 3-4 stars, depending on which tour you choose, and all are rated extremely high by the industry and customers alike for location, amenities, interiors, and service. WHERE WILL OUR HOTEL BE LOCATED? Hotel locations vary, however, we make every effort to choose hotels that are convenient for transportation, walking, and city sights. WHY DON'T YOU POST THE REAL ITINERARIES? Because the cities we choose are exciting, ever-changing, and very popular destinations, we never know what will be available to us until a few weeks before our trips. Many restaurants do not even accept reservations until a month before the date, some may be booked with private parties on the dates we request, etc. What's more, when you book a tour with us we send you a short questionnaire to determine your likes and dislikes. Then, we try to take your answers into consideration when we book our venues. This way, every tour is unique and special, and one you are sure to enjoy. WHEN WILL WE KNOW THE EXACT ITINERARY? As soon as you sign up we will let you know what has already been booked. As venues are reserved we will email you with updates. When you arrive in NYC, a complete itinerary and information packet will be waiting for you so you know exactly where we are going and when. WHY SHOULD WE GO ON A TOUR AND NOT ON OUR OWN? There are several advantages to traveling with a group: First, you will be in the hands of a knowledgeable and organized host who will help you navigate your way through a city you may not be familiar with. This helps keep you safe as well as shows you parts of the city you may not otherwise experience. Second, all the reservations, planning, and research will be done for you, so all you have to do is show up and enjoy. And, third, with a theme-based tour like ours, you are sure to make new friends and have exhilarating conversations and experiences with others who share your interest in food. HOW BIG ARE THE GROUPS? We hate big, impersonal tours where groups of 50 are shuffled along like cattle, so all our groups are kept to 14 and under. This way we get to know each and every one of you personally, and, you get to know each other. BESIDES EATING, WILL WE SEE THE SIGHTS? We try to place our meals in different neighborhoods so you experience many of the sights. However, if there are specific things you would like to see or do we give you free time each day to do them. We will also be happy to help you get there, find information, or make reservations. WILL WE HAVE FREE TIME? Y es! Every day you will have several hours of free time to do with as you choose. For example, on all of our NYC trips we offer a time where you can go see a Broadway show. Or, if you prefer to see a specific sight, go to a museum, or go simply take a nap, you may use this time to do so. You may also have time in the morning before our activities begin, or at night after dinner to explore on your own. HOW WILL WE GET AROUND? In NYC we will be driven to most of the dinners in either a van or limo, depending on your tour. During the day, for the pre-theatre dinner, and on the last night pizza dinner, we will be walking and/or using public transportation. In addition, you will be issued a NYC metro card to use as you please during your free time. In LA, we will be chauffeured to each dinner in a limo and to some of the daytime events in a taxi van. For others, we will be taking a hop-on hop-off fun tour bus to reach our destinations. You will be given a pass for this bus for the entire length of your stay to use as you desire during your free time.
